    One more question though. With "Available in the UK." are you referring to the $30 deal from the US (that's £18.36) or the £30 deal for students here in the UK?
    I really don't know. You may be able to pay stateside and receive it in the UK. I do not see why not. Trying to avoid VAT?

    Actually now that I think about it, if I get it here in the UK I should be getting the full version (due to EU laws etc). I think I'll just get it from here instead then. But like I said before, £30 for a full version of Windows 7 is very very good price.

    As far as I am aware the £30 is for the UK only as the $29 is US only, For relatively low cost items the additional shipping and tax costs will ofset the cheaper initial cost of the US option -

    Of course electronic delivery of software can change this

    Hello, Noah, Welcome to sevenforums

    The $19 ACM membership is a worldwide membership. All you need to be is a Student who follows an IT field. At the moment if you go through several pages back you'll know what happened recently. Thanks to the high demand of the membership even from the NON COMPUTING students , ACM decided to remove Windows 7 from the list. Now There is NO Widows 7 to be downloaded at the moment.

    This is a reply I got from an ACM representative after moaning that I am a student and want W7.
    [SIZE=2]Dear [removed]:

    Windows 7 was not an ACM offer; it has been removed from the MSDNAA program administered through Microsoft. There are multiple other software downloads available through MSDNAA that you can take advantage of with your Student Membership.

    Should you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Sincerely,

    Tom Bagley

    ACM Member Services Department

    Ha ha as if I want any of the other software.

    So basically this means that it doesn't matter how you got MSDN AA access you won't be able to get W7.

    I have even before posting here for the first time sent an e-mail to my PA who happens to be none other than Lilian Israel. Needless to say: still awaiting reply.

    Academic Care Blog (Gautam's Blog) : Windows 7 is available through MSDN Academic Alliance

    There is a indication here that IEEE lost it also on 18 September.
