Well I wasn't exactly too surprized to see Amazon in the UK but there will be a limited number of places that will. If there's one where you are look up preordering 7 there.

Awww Foobar! The 26% off on Ultimate is only being seen in the UK! [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-GLC-00182-Windows-7-Ultimate/dp/B002DHGMVY/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1250662863&sr=8-5"]Amazon.com: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate: Software[/ame]

Some would say that you are "Most Unfortunate"...

Others might say that you are then "Uncivilized"...

Or you could have replied to that with? "Well I won't see the 26% off on the Ultimate edition will I?"!

For what it's worth, they've recently indicated the full versions aren't going to be permanently discounted. They'll have the separate full/upgrade pricing sooner or later.

Good chance to hop on low priced full versions and not deal with the whole prior genuine install requirement. That's going to be a pain for people doing stuff like moving to SSD drives in the next couple years.

What they could they use would be a few discounts on all of the full versions here as well. So far they've placed that only on the Home Premium and Professional upgrade disks there.

I figured it wouldn't last long. It was more or less another promotion for the new version about to be out. Keep checking around for other initial offers as they may come from various retail sources.

Windows 7 Ignoring Orders
I've noticed this on a number of occasions, most of which are too trivial to mention, that Window 7 offers you a dialogue box asking you whether you want something done or not, you click what you want, but it then goes and does the opposite. Most recently Windows wanted to restart to finish...

Fallout New Vegas (Pre-Orders)
So, I'm confused about this pre-order. I went to Gamestop yesterday to place my pre-order. My intentions were to pre-order the Colloctors Edition of the game itself as well as the hard cover CE Strategy Guide. (would go nicely with the CE Boxed game I think :) ) Here is my confusion.
