It's too bland-looking; wouldn't mind it on a handheld (since I don't own any, thankfully), but it looks just so... flat. And dull. Reminds me of clip art.

Not to mention gotta look for a new Test Print page since they sucked the colours out of it.

Ties in nicely with the rest of that terrible looking metro stuff. I think Windows 8 will be like that strange uncle nobody ever talks about.
    You mean Uncle "Bob"

Hm, no thanks. To be honest, the Windows 7 logo is fine.

I still think it would look better with more colour... something like this, but the precise colours and shading carefully chosen:

It looks like a jelly beans or ice cream advertising.

It's bland looking because the entire Metro UI is simple and elegant. I think Metro looks great and I'm sure using the right colour with the Windows logo, the new Windows logo will look great.

Microsoft are innovating quite a bit with Windows 8 in my opinion, while there are things that I'm personally concerned about (such as the fact Metro apps can only be installed through the Windows Store), I think Windows 8 is definitely going to be an interesting release for Microsoft, and it's definitely a big risk. And kudos to Microsoft for actually going ahead with it. It's a big risk since Windows is one of their core products.

I'm definitely looking forward to trying out the Consumer Preview .

Zero10, been wodering are you going to adopt the new Windows 8 logo, and possible colour scheme, for EF? Or just keep the existing ones you have at the moment?
