You actually forgot to add Windows NT to that list. It was released shortly after Windows ME, I think. Or even after Windows 2000. You forgot Vista, too.
Yup, I have been reminded of leaving Vista out. Don't know how that could happen.

I enjoyed this from the History of Windows...what an understatment, lol.
Windows is increasingly used at work and home and now includes games like Solitaire, Hearts, and Minesweeper. An advertisement: “Now you can use the incredible power of Windows 3.0 to goof off.”
    thats right

I think I now see why Microsoft didn't use this as the logo:

When shrunk, LCDs that dither have a tendency to make the colors look crooked. Natural optical illusions don't help either.

I think the colors should be darker.

The spacing is too emphatic too.

What do you mean? too wide? too narrow? and by how much?
And I think the whole thing needs to be stretch horizontally a bit more...

Smaller spacing DOES look better though

I wouldn't be surprised to find that "Windows 8" gets the internal version number of "6.2" either...
