The reason that you can't think of anything earlier, is because you aren't seeing things as I do. I have already said that I shall not delve too far into the big picture, but I will say that the beginning of all our problems today, go back to Adam and Eve.

What do fictional characters have to do with anything?

Since you consider my statement to be fiction, why do you ask me what they have to do with anything? It seems obvious that you would consider my answer to be just as fictional.

If you mean the actual persons of adam and eve yes.
If by chance you were using it as an alliteration to the earliest or first of our kind.
That I would be willing to entertain, since you have chosen religious doctrine, yes I'm afraid we'll have to part ways there. I have a belief in a god, but it has nothing to do with the wicked thing modern organized religion has become.

Nor with that silly book that was edited and put together by men far more interested in maintaining power and keeping their populations under control than 'the word of god'.

No if the word of god ever graced this earth, it's long been translated and debated out of existence.

That being said, no it doesn't seem like there was any point to my question.

Ah, now that I realize what you were getting at:
I suppose, back to the debatable origin of humanity, there has always been those that used whatever means possible to get there way. Back to the dark ages where someone with a sword will kill an unarmed man for his food.

But we are learning. We are learning that we are capable of becoming much better. However no individual can do it by himself, he has to be in an environment that promotes self improvement. And in this day and age that's somewhat in the media's control (that includes content creators, such as politicians). And when the media controls humanity's development, there has to be a means of controlling the media, to ensure what it does is somewhat in the best interest of the human race.

Unfortunately, I believe the means of controlling has to be in place before the media gains a tight grip on it's control.

The very fact that I see people from all over the world in many languages, of varying, age groups, religious, and political affiliations are starting to come to terms with the beast the media has become. ...and while they may not all agree on the reasons, or a solution. They certainly agree on the enemy at hand.

This 'beast' I think it's days are numbered as the force it once was. It's already obviously being questioned far more than it has been at any time in recent memory.

I just hope the americans catch on before we wind up being the next nazi empire... already started singling out people based on race and religion as it is.

I almost want to place bets.

The media know what they can get away with, and are able to avoid anything that would cause them to get regulated. It's a feedback loop that could very well be indefinitely sustainable. Or something big could happen and it all collapses within a week.

I think only China is in a position to start changes (by weaponizing their US debt holdings, but it may hurt China itself)

It should have also been obvious, that I have no interest in extending our discussion along these lines, either via post or PM. It would profit neither of us.

Not exactly, but you are getting closer.

People have always killed, used, abused others for a variety of reasons. It wasn't always because they were hungry or in need of something. It may have been due to fear, envy, jealousy, greed, etc. All of these emotions take root in the vacuum where love should reside.

But we are learning. We are learning that we are capable of becoming much better. However no individual can do it by himself, he has to be in an environment that promotes self improvement. Yes, we are learning, but what we are learning doesn't necessarily make us any better. Too often we just use the intelligence that comes from learning to devise new ways to take advantage of others.
