The whole thing about how IE is horrible and evil and destroy's your computer was because of IE6...IE8 is fantastic and Mozilla attempts to spoon feed people that IE is still just as bad or worse than it was back then. If anyone has gotten worse it is FF...the speed, interface, and operability have declined since 2.0

I have heard that the IE8 is quite secure.
(I'll miss my add-ons though.)
I use FF, and probably will for some time to come, albeit that doesn't mean I am happy with them. If only IE had adblocker, and some of the other fun things in FF. :)

I'll have to do my research on IE settings. Up until now I've only used IE for hotmail.

Gives you all that stuff without even needing to install extra stuff. All the other stuff like Youtube doiwnloads, extra adblock lists, text filters, etc are simple plugins.
URL Aliases are a system where you set up shortcuts for URLs. Eg. you assign the alias w7f to www.sevenforums.com. Then all you need to do to go there is type w7f in the address bar and hit ENTER.
Maxthon also allows you to group all your favorite sites together as a Group, and launch them all with just one click, or even set the browser to open them at startup, sort of like having multiple homepages.

All I ever use FF for is downloads. For some reason, it downloads faster that the speed cap on my internet. That's all it does though. Slow as a snail compared to Maxthon2/IE8 for browsing.
I still use mozzila but i know that new IE is the most secure browser...
But I dont beleve Mozzila !!!! It seems that Microsoft is the only good guy here despite all other ppl mocking it... I would accept Apple doing something like that but mozzila... soon maybe i go to chrome if mozzila continue like this... Not going to safari cos it suck and we all know apple story...
Mozilla is trying unfairly to impose it's product on users(customers) and this will drive people away from them. I used to use FF as my main browser for sometime but now I use IE8 with IE7Pro and quite pleased with it. I have no reason to use FF as my main browser because it is not better or worse than IE8. In my opinion the end-user will decide which browser they want to use in their computers.
Thanks for the info in this thread. I have used FF for the last several years 100%. A month or so ago I started using IE8 and have not gone back to FF.
Their latest actions are not going to win any points with me.
This whole thing makes about as much sense as the USA forcing BMW to give buyers a choice of engines in their cars sold here.
