Well it's going through the Senate next and hopefully senate rejects it but if not then it is up to the president whether the bill is vetoed or not. I get emails from these guys i'm subscribed to their news letter.Anyways read about it here "Source" House Passes CISPA: Make Sure It Dies In The Senate | Demand Progress

You can fill the letter and email senate urging them to not let it pass by filling the little form in the webpage, did this back when sopa was trying to pass.

Might as well have called it the "Civilian Cyber Surveillance Act". That's exactly what it is. Makes SOPA/PIPA look like child's play.

I have no doubt whatsoever that Obama will veto this... but only just long enough for him to tweak the language to his liking, then pass it in the dead of night while the rest of the Nation is off partying it up and not paying the least bit of attention...

Really, all of our bellyaching in letters and phone calls didn't stop him or the House and Senate from ramming NDAA 2012 through the pipeline and neither will it do anything to stop them with this garbage here. Its going to happen so we all might as well learn to love it, or simply pull the net out of our computers altogether.

I might opt for the latter, myself. Don't need a Federal appointed cyber liaison thank you very much.

I urge you to reject CISPA and any and all other cyber security legislation that fails to respect civil liberties and Internet users' privacy. Also any bill, law, or regulation that attempts tp make interenet activity immune to a properly issued search warrant.

    How CISPA would affect you

CISPA may have cleared the U.S. House of Representatives, but the fight isn't over. It's shifted to the U.S. Senate. Here's CNET's FAQ on what you need to know about this particularly controversial Internet bill.

Yes, Britton, I subscribe to Demand Progress as well.

Not that they'd pay any attention to this old Aussie, but
at least it lets them know that it isn't only Americans who
    are opposing this.

Of course, our terminally useless govt will fall over themselves
to enact similar 'laws' now, I daresay.

Every single member of Congress is bought off completely by corporate interests, making them millionaires if they weren't already.

Even the President's campaign says he must raise a billion for reelection just to stay afloat. Who does he work for then?
