My dad's Vaio laptop is also way cooler than a Mac, and waaaaay more powerful, for a fraction of the cost of a high-end MacBook Pro.

I dont like laptops, i prefer to use a desktop but anyway even if a mac costs more id pay it if its worth it.

I built my pc and at the time it cost just under £3000, from looking i can get a pretty good mac for that amount of money. Yes i could build a better spec'd pc but im looking for stability, ease of use etc.

The more i use windows 7 the more it dissapoints me

If you feel like sending me a PM, I would love to hear your complaints. Everyone I've talked to loves Win 7, so I'd like to hear the things about that people don't like.

    Hi there

For 3,000 GBP / 3100 EUR you can build yourself an absolute AWESOME PC type machine. Even with a massive 28 / 32 inch monitor costing around 1200 GBP you'd still have a totally world beating machine.

(For around 750 GBP these days you can get a machine which is MORE than good enough for 99.9% of most applications typical people will want to run including most types of games
You don't need to spend ANYTHING LIKE 3,000 GBP for an absolutely awesome PC type machine).

If you prefer Apple its your choice - but costwise a PC can't be beat -- and in any case I DO prefer the User customisation you can do with W7 compared with the rather bland OSX interface.

Here again its a matter of choice but if W7 disappoints you why not SAY what the problem is or what you don't like -- who knows it might not be a W7 problem but a USER or SETUP problem.

Posts that say "I don't like W7" or "W7 disappoints me" without supplying any info whatsoever suggests only 2 things

    1) Troll
    2) Not much experience with computers in general or Windows in particular.

(If neither are true -- you should be able to see the point that's being made here).

There are ZILLIONS of people on these forums who spend quite a lot of time helping others - but remarks like "W7 disappoints me" without supplying any more info is not going to get you anywhere.

    Cheers

Thinking that OS X is more stable than windows shows that you are already uninformed.

Insulting people here that are trying to give you honest opinions with reasons backing it up isnt going to get you very far.

Simmer down bud. You don't have to go freaking out on people. You've stated your opinions on the way Windows 7 works and that's cool. Just leave it at that.

I had just left it as that post was over 2 days old. For some reason he decided to call me a troll and that i didnt know how to use a pc just because i dared to say something against the mighty windows 7.

I hate fanboys of any kind. Long live all OS's and all consoles etc but an end to all fanyboys
