This one is a bit silly, but would be kick a$$: Microsoft should go get Daniel Craig for this one. Q has built James Bond a new car with an intelligent computer running Windows 7. James Bond is chasing the bad guys and using the multi touch screen features of Windows 7 and he's tapping on the screen. He drags the targeting system screen to one side of the screen (maximizes on the left) and the GPS window with tracking on the bad guys (maximizes on the right). He then catches up to the bad guys in his car, so Bond goes to the taskbar and taps the pinned app that launches rockets from his car which blows up the bad guys.

And then he can look up and and say "I LOVE Windows 7."

i dont think these ads really do W7 justice. the shake feature is more fun than useful and definitely shouldn't warrant its own commercial. the personalization one was a little better because it showcased the gadgets which is definitely something i love about W7. the movie maker one was well made although i don't think that WMM is a major selling point for windows? it already comes on the past versions. i think the commercials should focus more on demonstrating W7's beautiful GUI, flawless performance, and some of the new features (maybe a 2 second demo of aero shake along with others showing all the new things you can do). anyways, i hope when we see commercials on TV they will be far better than these. despite being an avid W7 user, i really don't think these would persuade me to use W7 or even make me remotely aware of its finer points. just my 2 cents

*James Bond Fanboyism about to show*...I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE a James Bond/Windows 7 commercial...it would be a monumental success for Microsoft

That would pwn, to say the least.

Here's my Idea of a commercial.
There's this guy, he wakes up and goes to the store, buys seven bottles of milk and seven serial packages. He has breakfast seven times. He puts on a football T-shirt with number seven. Then he installs windows seven on his PC. Here we'll get a quick peek of the features which Microsoft think are really important changes to seven. Maybe Homegroup, Themes and Action Center. At the end of the day he goes to a casino with seven coins. He inserts all of them at once into the slot machine. What do we get?
    ________
    [7] [7] [7]
    Jackpot!!!!
Then he says something for a finishing touch, like... "Hah! Seven!" or "Wow!" (like the vista ad lol). Then we get that fading lighty-blue image with a big number seven, then a "windows" word pops up before it. THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE!

Maybe one that focuses on the speed of installation, I hear that's a big thing, thirty minutes or less for a lot of people, much better than the past.

For those who say they don't like the ads, maybe we should come up with ideas of our own.

Here's one of my own: There's a lady "working" in an office. Actually she's got a ton of instant messenger windows (MSN Messenger to be exact) typing and communicating with all her friends. She then notices her boss coming, so she quickly grabs the Microsoft Word window and shakes it, making all the other windows disappear. The boss walks by and the woman assures him that she is doing her "work."

This one is a bit silly, but would be kick a$$: Microsoft should go get Daniel Craig for this one. Q has built James Bond a new car with an intelligent computer running Windows 7. James Bond is 007 and Microsoft has Windows 7.
I like these a lot! The first one seems more possible than the 007 one but still both are great.

I use a laptop with 7 RC build 7100 on it I just always put it to sleep without thinking I check my internet connection to see how long it has been "connected" and it said 21 days. Wish they could do an ad about how stable it is and runs without problems and you don't need to restart all the time like in XP. I noticed no slow down and only restarted because I wanted to lol.

I was thinking of a way that the personalization one could be improved. Instead of just poofing that other guy away, why not replace him with someone famous that all the girls wish they could go out with, and the guy be all "Whoa! XXXXXXX is here!" and other stuff like that, and then when the girl closes the computer instead of having it all go away, have her hook up with the famous person and walk off with him.

I think that it would do several things to improve the ad.

A: Add modern appeal with famous people.
B: Attract attention with the famous person again.
C: Closing it and everything staying the same would convey the sense of permanence, that this is not something ephemeral that I get watching the current one.

My clean install on this PC right the day it was bought from the store was maybe less than 12 minutes. I just went to let the dogs out and when I was back it was already asking for Username/Pass , Updates , First Time Run etc..
