Hi there
you need to be a bit more suspicious of these types of stats --- While I'm sure the usage of Chrome far exceeds that of IE now isn't this because a HUGE amount of browsing / surfing is done these days with devices like tablets and smartphones.
Once you add Android into the equation this isn't surprising at all (in fact it probably should really be obvious -- please don't take offense here - none intended -- but statistics have an incredible way of being either grossly mis-used -- as per virtually the whole advertising industry -- or wrongly interpreted).
The way these stats are gathered as well are somewhat suspect -- If say a Google lookup is performed does Google actually KNOW whether the query comes from a desktop / tablet / mobile phone --it usually will receive just an IP address -- and secondly it's quite easy for browser ID's to be changed so the browser name won't be reported correctly anyway.

I believe this is how MS was preventing people from accessing the MS update site, if they were using anything other than IE.
There is a plugin for Firefox that replaces the FF "User-Agent" info with IE "User-Agent" info.
On my networking course (as an exercise) we set MS Forefront TMG to block the Mozilla "User-Agent" from our virtual networks.

MS Office 2010 offline help takes me to chrome and then displays the concerned help files from C:/users......temporary internet files. Does that mean help files are not installed properly? Images in help files do not load.
On both browsers, my right mouse button takes me back to the previous page on both IE and chrome. However my touchpad on the laptop is fine. Why is my external mouse doing this??
