    Hi there
I got mine automatically via Windows update on 22/09/2009 -- nothing about Office validation though

Running RTM W7 x-64 Ultimate (from MSDS Technet) with office 2007 enterprise.

Not sure I notice any difference - a few old old legacy apps that I still need to run on Windows XP (I use a VM for this) won't run on W7 even after installing this update -- old drivers etc etc.

I have an old Canon flatbed scanner, a negative film scanner, an HP plotter, a Minidisc recorder etc. These aren't supported at all on W7 but run absolutely fine on a Windows XP Virtual machine. I have a couple of other apps as well so my XP VM isn't going away any time soon -- but I don't need to dual boot any more between XP and W7. Running a VM when needed on a modern laptop isn't a problem at all these days and it certainly beats dual booting.

    Cheers

OK, but I have problem with KB974332 installation (x64). Automatic update find this update, but when i try to install it, nothing happens and it remains on 0%. So I need to cancel it through task manager. Other updates works normal, but this, which is very important for me wont install. I also try to download it from Microsoft page, but when I start that update, it remains 0% on "Installing update ..." Can somebody help me with this??

I'm getting updates for all kind of hardware drivers but one of them is always wrong one (for other Realtek Lan card), so i have to ignore it. My opinion is that the best way is, to manually update newest drivers from manufacturer, especially graphic drivers.

First of all Welcome to the Se7enforums! RdBw and neoasr

For your question there neoasr when checking for updates using the update option(Windows Updates) found in the Control Panel or going to the MS update site directly you have to look for the optional hardware and software updates.

For the popup window that appears when clicking the Windows Updates option in the CP there you can see the number of optional updates with a link right under the number of Windows updates. The optional besides the various language packs available will also list any for hardwares or other softwares installed on the system.
