Just keep in mind that OEM versions are designed to be installed onto 1 computer and it cannot be moved to another computer at a later time. And with OEM versions, you don't get direct support from Microsoft but rather the system builder...which in the case of a home hobbyist...you would contact yourself for support.
I have never called MS for any support in my 20 years of PC building. Come to think of it, I haven't called any software or hardware company for any support. The only people I have had to call for support was cable company or telephone company for Internet/router/modem issues.
Aren't you the lucky one, pparks1 was making a valid post pointing out the reasons behind OEM versions for those who aren't aware of the limitations.

Online retailer Newegg.com has listed various editions of Windows 7 OEM, and there are some deep discounts on offer.

    Here are the numbers:

    * Windows 7 Home Premium OEM: $99.99 (full version retails for $199.99)
    * Windows 7 Professional OEM: $134.99 (full version retails for $299.99)

The Windows 7 Home Premium OEM: $99.99 appears to be only the 32 bit version according to Newegg's site. Wonder if it will also contain the 64 bit version. Anybody know?

    Thanks
