Opera homepage spotted redirecting visitors to Blackhole kit

If you are an Opera user who hasn't changed the browser homepage or has visited Opera's Portal homepage (portal.opera.com) on Wednesday, you might want to check you computer for malware.

According to Bitdefender, the website in question has been redirecting visitors to a page hosting the infamous Blackhole exploit kit for at least a few hours.

I changed my Opera homepage as soon as I installed Opera, and have ran a few scans since then, so I'm quite confident that I'm safe.

    Funny you say this

I got rid of Opera months ago not because it was bad or something it was really good

Just never used it much just like WaterFox i started collecting alot of random Browsers so i ended up getting rid of it and staying with IE, FF,GC ftw

No problems here either. I don't and never have, used the "default" home page of any browser I've ever used. Not even my beloved Opera. So I guess that makes all three of us!

Since switching to Opera a few months ago my homepage has always been "about:blank". Actually, that's been my homepage going back to IE6.
