Last Chance to Download Windows 7 Beta Build 7000

    Posted: 23 Jan 2009
Microsoft is getting closer and closer to pulling off Windows 7 Beta Build 7000 public downloads. Announced in the kickoff keynote at the 2009 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2009) in Las Vegas on January 7, Win 7 Beta went live on January 10, a day later than initially planned. At that time, Microsoft indicated that it was imposing a 2.5 million-download limit, but, faced with the volume of users crowding to grab the Beta bits, changed its tune and allowed for unlimited downloads of Windows 7 public Beta for a couple of weeks. Well, the two weeks are up, and the day after tomorrow, January 24, 2009, Microsoft will discontinue the public downloads of Windows 7 Beta.

Unless they change their mind again. I got x64 pretty soon after they got the servers back up, but had trouble getting through to get x86. After a week things seemed to work better and faster. Not so much pressure on the servers. If you haven't got it by now, your probably not that anxious to have it anyway. MHO.

how many times can the serials be used? I ask because I have reinstalled a couple of times already and am now looking to do a 3rd rebuild due to bluetooth failure and dont want to risk cut off.

I'm pretty sure you'll be able to use them for as long as 7000 is the build your using, just might not have access to get them officially anymore from M$.

Thanks, I thought that may be the case but wanted to make sure before I start another rebuild.
