That should be good news for MS as they will be able to run Windows 8.

Special Intel 'Ivy Bridge' chips to enable new laptops, tablets
At CES, chip giant will discuss limited edition versions of its 3rd Generation Core processors that are Intel's most power efficient to date. Select ultrabooks and tablets from some vendors are expected.
<10W? Holy that is tiny, maybe it won't be long until x86(x86-64) finally loses its image of being energy inefficient, which might not be all that justifiable considering just how robust and versatile x86(x86-64) is.
It'd be really awesome if it compared to 60w AMDs
Nice to have that chip in future tablets :). x86 is the only way to go for productivity and school needs. Most ARM tablets IMO are just toys.
My "Intel i5 3330 with Ivy Bridge" runs at 77 Watts so running at 10 Watts is a huge change. It would sure cut down on the size of the power supply needed.
