The market place, the market place, the market place. We all say it over and over and yet I don't think Microsoft is hearing.
Microsoft is big and rich but they are not bigger or richer than the market place.
Like any company they get their sales and moneys form the market place.
The market place rules by the moneys that is spent on something and how many times it's done or not done.
Microsoft seem to think that to move strongly into the market place of Toymobiles they have to give up on the PC market place.
To put it simple. You can sell apple pie or ice cream. NO NO Microsoft.
You sell apple pie with the option of putting ice cream on it. That's the YES YES way to handle the market place.
The highly educated people (not me) call this a WIN, WIN.
The problem is we're looking at it from our (advanced user) perspective. However, we are in the minority of these things. Microsoft on the other hand is looking at it from the majority perspective, and they for the most part may not be as sophisticated at the advanced users.
If you think about it, a lot of tech is "dumbed" down? Why, because if it's too complicated, people won't buy or use it.
Something else to think about, we all have our strengths and weaknesses, this is why I don't like to use the word "moron". As I said before, if that was the case, we could all be called morons.
Of course not. But some are really not up to snuff. And that does not only apply to cashiers. I did not really want to pick on them. But the example came to mind.
Question for you Wolfgang, if you don't mind. The area of Germany where you live is also one of the nicest tourist areas of the world. How does the Black Forest area in Summer compare with Florida in the Winter (i know they don't have much of one)? Do you get homesick for the other one and wish you were over here / there? I miss England and hope to go back for a holiday once I get better.
The winter weather in Florida is very much like the summer weather in the Black Forest. So I live permanently in summer. That's what I like.
Winters in the Black Forest are challenging. Not only does it get cold and you get snow which I don't like, but even when it is not cold, the weather is usually not nice. Very often you have this fine drizzle - it does not really rain but it is always wet. And then you don't see the sun for weeks - especially in the valleys where I live.
I never got homesick. I lived in foreign countries for over 25 years (off and on) and I loved it. Besides learning several languages fluently, I liked to explore those countries. I probably know e.g. the US and France better than most of the natives.

Thanks LF, that is nice of you to say. But English is only my third language. I wish I could get rid of the slight accent that I still have.

It depends on where you are in the UK, some have really hard to understand accents, Glaswegian, Yorkshire, Somerset, Welsh, Cockney, Geordie to name a few. The best know accent is the BBC Home Counties English (London and surrounding counties). I talk like that. People over here love it. If I was not happily married I think I might have got into trouble when I was out and about mending stuff.

What's nice got to do with it? Facts are facts.
What accent you have is not enough to worry about.

I found an excellent pre-built PC deal. The system uses quality parts and is cheaper than the cost of the separate parts + shipping by $125.00. Plus, I would have to spend time building the PC. The only problem are is it ships with Windows 8 only.
Is Windows 8 a deal killer ?
Hello, all.
I have a quick question. :)
Right, my little brother has a laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate (x32). He also has a PS3 webcam (I forget the actual name of it). He is allowed to use this webcam on his PS3, but not on his computer. The problem is that he keeps defying the rule in...
