More Than 3 Out of 4 Enthusiasts Reject Windows 8

.....Maybe ugly 8 was ploy to sell more 7 and then more 9.
If it was, I guess I fell for it. Just before 8 was released, I bought an OEM version of W7 for my custom build to avoid 8, and right now I have a full retail version coming in the mail for future use.
So I'm still falling for it.

Looks like enthusiasts are grabbing another copy while they can.

I already have a spare retail copy of Home Premium and Ultimate.

I predict a huge surge ...
Use this article with caution and a lump of salt, Steven is used as a semi-official click-bait by ZDNet.
Even a broken (mechanical) clock is right twice per day.
Even though he is anti-Windows and pro-Linux, (IMO) he is right about W8 and Blue.
MS is planning to keep on "spitting in the faces" of desktop users.
I predict a huge surge in demand for pirated versions of W7.

Dunno about pirated, you can still buy the boxed copies on Amazon. They sell better than 8 boxed copies, obviously, so don't know if you find them easily in say 6mths time.

Be careful about buying software from Amazon. I've seen too many reports of bogus software being sold there to trust them for software. And their Marketplace vendors aren't any better than FleaBay.

It's astounding to me the market is not moving even faster to clobber this.
Since when will stockholders allow a corporation to actually hold back a wildly popular product to try to force consumers to buy a hated one deemed by almost everyone to be an unworthy successor if not an outright flop? It only took a few days with New Coke as I recall.
Making it even more absurd is that in spite of trying to scare business into 8 with dire warnings of BIOS infections without Secure Boot, business has spoken loud and clear and is choosing Windows 7 to replace XPired.

Hey we've got about seven years to go for W7. As I recall (from a lot of years ago) the Boy Scouts motto was "Be Prepared"!

Supplies of Windows 7 seem to be even shrinking at Newegg. Just ordered another copy. Now I have 3 spares, but 1 is in German language.
