I honestly don't care where MS's "ideas" come from. If their implementation of Apple's ideas, or whoever elses, makes things work better in Windows then, at the end of the day, it's better for me, right? I'm not a MS fan-boy, really, but Win 7 is pretty freakin' sweet. I didn't like Vista at all, skipped it, stayed with XP Pro. But after a few days with 7000 back in Jan I realized that my XP days were done. And that's just a-ok with me. Someone brought up Win ME earlier. I can't believe I bought that turd of an OS! I still have the cheesy plastic watch that came with it. It's still sealed up even. Maybe in 50 years it will be worth $5 on eBay.

For the guy or gal that says that some OS takes from another.....
I would want to ask that person if they are an original.
None of us are, you know, unless we were created from scratch in some mad scientists laboratory.
We're an amalgam of every person in our linage that has gone before us.
It's amazing that none of us have just one big eye in the middle of our belly, or three arms and six legs.

There is almost nothing in our world that is not an outgrowth of something else. So quitcherbellakin about Windows 7 being like something that went before. That's just the way this world works.

As for Windows 7, build 7127, I sort of like it.
But like every version of windows, all the way back to the beginning, it does need some tweaking.

As a tech, I don't mind that. By shaking out the defaults in Windows that tend to make it safer, but also slow it down, you can wind up with an OS that performs much better than it did right out of the box.

I found XP right out of the box, running at about 30% efficiency. That's pretty sad. Then when a company like Dell, put out an XP PC with only 512 megs of ram installed, that made it even worse.

    Cheers Mates! (Happy Computing)
