Never heard anything about it again after seeing them at Summit in Feb. promising salvation for Windows 8 on desktops.

We also were assured 8.1 would return the Start button.

    Hi there.

Holographic stuff has its uses especially in Virtual reality, aircraft training simulators and possibly movie projection -- far better than 3-D but for standard laptops etc --this is a technology waiting for an application and has about as much use as a Chocolate Teapot.

Imagine trying to use that sort of stuff in a crowded office or in any crowded space. For text editing etc NOBODY has come up with anything better than a keyboard or mouse yet --and that's after nearly 40 YEARS of development!!!.

Touch screen laptops are really as dead as a dodo too.

    Cheers
