Have anybody ever wondered why they don't offer an auto start time? I thought of that while I was reading this thread. If somebody were to start on there computer everyday at a certain time then it would be handy.

You can set auto start time in BIOS.

A colleague of mine did it all the time.
Very annoying when he had a day off.

Good luck

A laptop is where you want to conserve as much power as possible since you are on battery. There you have to think smart since you only get about 4hrs. tops with most batteries on a full charge.

For desktops the option commonly seen in the bios is the lan wakeup option. You can power several office machines by simply sending out one main call which is practical for the typical business instead of having someone running around to each individual machine for the task.
