    Disregarding the cost implication, which is a personal preference...

    The majority of the malware is introduced to a system via the browser. Both Google and Microsoft makes an effort to close this venue, more less successfully. The intent and the direction these browsers have taken certainly make sense from the perspective of browsing security.
