Great but just take your time reading thru the install feature so you don't get things you don't want.

    Have fun.

Oh of course... Indeed, I always use custom install to control what to install and what not... (and that includes Chrome XD... sorry )

I just ran the Program Updater.

I haven't noticed any weird additions (yet).

That's the sad part, some people seems to forget about reading before clicking install, since the first time I replaced ESET with Avast I went for custom install, so I could add what I really wanted, and of course, avoid Chrome (for me, is the slowest thing in browsing universe...)... Most installers have this feature, such as CCleaner, Defraggler, Recuva and so on... But if you don't read...

I'm really happy with Avast, is fast, secure, and is not a resouce hog and false positive whore (sorry for this one, but ESET did something that really pissed me off with V6, that's why I switchet to Avast)... And this version as far as I tested, is now faster than v7... it's really an improvement.

You will just get new options, like a new Rearranged UI, Software Updater and a new section for downloading a tool that uninstalls every browser toolbar you don't want... Personally, I uninstalled Software Updater since I control what I update and what doesn't need to. Besides that, Avast is better than ever!
