So did anyone actually install this?
    Thoughts?
I did not install it (yet)...

Teerex did as the voluntary guinea-pig in post #127 of
List of Available Hotfixes for Windows 7

I just installed the IE10 update on a test box, so my excuse is I'm busy figuring out how well that works...

Let us know how it works out David. I know one friend who installed IE10 and found many of his faves wouldn't load so he upgrade back to IE9.

I will, but IE is not my primary browser...!

What finally prompted me to give it a try is the posts by Brink and w7bill in this thread
anybody try IE10 for windows 7-any good-it is on windows update site

Most of what I've read about IE10 is negative, but when a resident alien likes it ...

Anyway, back to the original question...

So far everything is working well for me with IE10.
It seems much faster, I've had no problems with favorites/links, restoring the previous session...
Music plays well, I haven't tested Videos yet....or login in Secure sites....

Edit: I love Blues guitar, and I'm distracted with this new toy at the moment :)

    I installed the update.

Was able to remove some I think it superseded and win update has not bugged me to reinstall those.

Might explain why it isn't being offered by wu.

    Not noticed anything else.

Brink claims he is an alien himself, I'm beginning to believe it too.

Thanks Simon, I do have updates, well, up to date.

Britton30. It is just a huge roll up of existing updates compressed into one big "fix". It will be most handy for corporates who roll out updates infrequently as they have to make sure it does not break anything on the Intranet. Think point of sale, stock control systems and so on. It will me most useful for us Geek types when re installing 7SP1. You can run the patch, let it install and then once the required reboot has occurred have a secure system. They have got those hours of downloads into one small patch. I have installed it and noticed no difference. Oh and since I never used IE 9 I don't know if that worked OK with the catalogue site either.
