Sounds good....looking forward to the update!
The Register is reporting that MS is getting ready to release IE10 for Windows 7, perhaps the “end of February/beginning of March” - this would be pushed in the auto update as an important update.
MS has issued an automatic update blocker toolkit for IE10/Win7 on 30 January. Read the article at:
Ready or not: Microsoft preps early delivery of IE10 for Windows 7 ? The Register

At the risk of of sounding illeterate, what is the "automatic update blocker toolkit"? I wont be updating to IE10. I'm still on IE8, and will move to a non-MS browser one day when I can find the time to evaluate a couple.
I'm concerned that the above means MS will be forcing IE10 on us, in which case my search for a real browser will have to be accelerated. Or does it simply mean that no one can update to IE10/Win7 until the "flick the switch" so-to-speak?
thanks
It is not forced it is just automatic if you have automatic updates turned on. The blocker is for corporate machines.
Yet another reason I never use automatic updates.
I don't have a big grudge against IE, just tend to prefer FireFox w/noscript.
Not a fan of IE either, but you have to admit that MS at least is headed in the right direction with 9 and I'm assuming 10. I keep them on my machine (and updated!:)), because of the very few sites that won't handle my beloved Opera. Have heard nothing but good things about 10 actually, so we'll see.
I'm glad they are pushing it via Windows update, supporting old obsolete non-compliant browsers like IE 6/7/8/9 really pisses me off.
My work requires IE7, IE8 (with NO updates) or Firefox 3.6, nothing else.

Hi there
IE10 seems to give me far less problems than IE9 -- can't wait for it on W7.
IE9 on W7 often yields "Your browser session has unexepectedly died".
I did try and go back to IE8 but IE9 seemed to re-install itself somehow -- Windows update ??.
Haven't had that problem with IE10 and W8.
To all IE haters:
IE10 seems quite Ok and a lot less "Bloat" which is why I gave up using the old Firefox browser in the first place.
Cheers
