They should also bring Widows 7 ui style. The current windows 8 styles looks like it's lacking graphics drivers and is running in 256 colour mode.
Apart from hyper very I don't see any thing new. Except all the things are downgraded.
I don't think Windows 8 is "superior" to Windows 7. I've had more support requests for 8 in the first 6 months of supporting it than I did for W7. To be fair, a lot of these are people who just can't grasp the two distinct interfaces, and the single app model of W8.

W8 gutted explorer. The task manager while providing more detail has Alzheimer's. Can't remember what tab is was last on. W8 is so kindergarten looking. Bring back the W7 themes and aero glass. Get rid of Windows Live bloatware that grabs all our personal information, and live tiles so my slow Internet connection is not hammered. Fix the problems with WSUS/W8 that requires registry hacks to get it working.
Fix those, bring back the option to boot to desktop and the start menu, and I'd seriously consider upgrading my PCs to Windows 8.
It'd be nice if they fixed the network problems too... That one has been around since Vista. (Cannot reconnect drives at boot up).
So finally they realized that the user base hates their new dumb UI and now they will add what made Windows 7 the best Windows OS of this century...
Good for them, they can always offer Modern UI for tablets and smartphones, they will surely apreciate it
Now we finally get back a functional start menu, with inmediate search bar, frequent used programs, pinned stuff, quick access to frequently visited folders and a completely functional UI.

Given that this is all just speculation and rumors for now, I'll wait until there's something more conclusive before I personally decide on anything.
However, if these rumors are true, Microsoft would be correct to go back, examine, and ideally reimplement what made Windows so successful as a desktop operating system that it took the entire desktop market by storm and defined what exactly is a "desktop" operating system with the debut of Windows 95 and solidifying it with the debuts of Windows XP and Windows 7.
Put simply, Windows 8 just wasn't Windows without the Start Menu and a complete Desktop.
...And Apple has made up for that in spades! lol

The Markets HATE it now --yesterday at one time the stock had reached the 52 week LOW.
Apple was perhaps the cream of the 20th century -- now its time seems to be passing -- although with that amount of cash still in its coffers it will be a slowish long lingering agonizing death.
The Smart phone market has matured, PC sales will remain a small niche market - very little growth in that area is possible these days, iPods are no longer necessary -- most phones have decent music players in them, iTunes seems irrelevant with services like Spotify offering far better value for money and the total impossibility of shutting down torrent sites --whatever the courts rule people find out within about 3 secs of the ISP blocking access to these sites how to bypass the restriction which renders the whole court gig pointless and by the time iTV or Apple TV comes out - if ever -- it will be TOO late as decent smart TV's are already available on the market.
Even the iPad market is falling away -- and if Apple have to get into the cheaper end of the market -- the profit is far far less and they aren't experienced in targeting these sorts of customers.
I don't like Metro at all on a PC == but Ms still has HUGE licensing volumes for corporates that extend years into the future and Office is actually a more profitable division than Windows -- in spite of the vast amounts of Pirate copies of the Office suite around. Corporates will continue (and pay for) W7 well into the late 201x's whatever is done to W8 (or W9 / W10 or whatever it will be called).

Indeed! A lot of companies copy/steal from their competitors and MS is certainly no exception here. What I was getting at is that MS would do well to "go back to its roots" for a moment and contemplate so it doesn't lose sight of itself. In my humble opinion, no other way of falling from grace is faster than losing sight of what made you successful in the first place.
