does this mean I should check for updates on Tuesday for IE9
Did anybody notice any unusual things after installing the May updates?
I've created a custom logon screen theme (a colour change from blue to purple for the user tile) using Logon Workshop.
After I installed the May updates I noticed that my theme was different.
When I checked the dll location I discovered that the dll had been replaced. The new dll has a different date to my original W7 dll (I have that backed up along with my modified one).
this didn't happen to me, try going to uninstall the update that did this and if you have to restart your computer for the uninstallation to take effect and then go back into Windows Update and check for updates and if the update comes up again and hide the update
A bit odd, the two .NET Framework 4.5s were optional. I know little about what goes on under the hood so I install everything regardless, though I do always make my own restore point before downloading.
A backup HDD image is better.

The update mentioned in the link above should have replaced that file.
You should mod the new file... not put the old one back.

What is the date on this file...
"C:\Windows\System32\authui.dll"
...on your computer?
