If they made the app available to buy for those of us Android users that aren't 365 subscribers, then I would probably spend a few dollars to at least see how it compares to something like the free Kingsoft Office suite but since I'm not a 365 subscriber, I'll stick to Kingsoft. Having the app available may sweeten the deal for 365 subscribers but I don't believe having the app available would swing someone into becoming a subscriber if they weren't already.

Don't need to be the CEO of a Megacorp to know basic economics. Put a low enough price tag on it and someone will buy it.
