    Hi DNG

Basically its a version of the office 2010 build fro small business / home use that uses a new form of distribution - for Microsoft anyway.

Basically you download a stub program which downloads the rest of the package as it is used installing it onto a virtual disk - it's once only download so it's more to let people download only what they actually use

The technet 2010 beta keys are only one key per as opposed to the usual 10 keys for release products. The key for 32 and 64 are the same.

whats the build number? we are also "geting" 14.0.4536.1000 today. Also i also assume 14.0.4514.1009 will become public beta, since its just bit over 1 month old since it was signed off and if you are looking at win7 model it was just about right.
I believe, but cannot confirm, that they are one and the same. The "higher" build number is what is shown when you go into Backstage and eventually find the modern equivalent of Help/About. The lower number is shown when looking at the properties of the installer.

Could be tomorrow but I think Wednesday is more likely. That's the day that Office is going to be the focus at the PDC conference.

    Office 2010 - didn't take long did it !!!

    Hi all
Didn't take long for Office 2010 to make its way "out into the wild".

If you don't have a technet account it will be released very soon anyway so don't bother with "the usual places".

    cheers
