    spooky>>!!

now Facebook is telling me to update my browser..!!
Sounds like Compatibility view helped on this site and doesn't help on Facebook,
This sites Document mode page default is ie7 Standards,
I always found ie10 Standards work the best,
I wouldn't expect that to improve with ie11 rtm just get farther away in document modes,
Developer tools has been drastically changed but the easiest thing to do is make sure your not using Comp-view on facebook.

One thing I will say here however is that seems to be an isolated incident here so far with 11. Firing it up today and looking at the YouTube I find two talking heads in one YT clip!

Do you allow your case there to sleep, hibernate, or do you shut down fully every night? The other day I told you about how disabling the av (for a few minutes only) saw immediate results. Yesterday no problemss at all. Likewise today I went to open IE 11 for the first time and all reply options are in working order with nothing greyed out.

The problems if any with 11 are localized to your own pc from the finding not anything to do with the site here at all. I;ve been seeing this type of problem on other sites as well only confirming that even more. Plus we are still only dealing with the more or less beta form MS labeled a preview not having released anything else widely for 11. MSDN or TechNet would have been the place to see anything earlier.

I don't know, it must be system specific or area specific because I've not had any issues here, or in eightforums running IE11, and I've posted images, youtube clips, and all sorts of smileys.

Trust me, I know 11 has some issues with sites, for me, Giants.com | The official Website of the New York Giants, where it absolutely refuses to play live streamed media, but I've no issues with this site.

It plays the videos here without a hitch. That goes to show that if and when a biug appears it seems to be a random issue in most cases. Here it will one thing at one time and something totally different at another without any being a continual issue.

Apparently the bugs that remain only seem to be occuring under limited circumstances. But this is something to expect with anything beta as a general rule of thought where feedback is what helps developers find the solution before anything is labeled final. Of course even with any final version you will still end up needing patches as well as updates over time.

If this addressed to me, yeah videos play just fine, even at the site I listed. What it doesn't do is play live streamed audio/videos on the site. Once they're archived, they'll play all day

Drew, try performing a clean start, confirm it is indeed only an IE11 issue.

Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

Or try it in Safe Mode with Networking

    Hey Bill,

It's definitely IE11 as it happen on both my Windows 8.1 laptop and my Windows 7 desktop machine. In case you don't know, Windows 8.1 comes with 11 embedded, which also includes flash. There's no need to install it (flash or IE11) there.

Anyway I've uninstalled and reinstalled it on the W7 machine and no-go. Even tried Compatibility View and still no-go. There were even some updates to both machines, including a flash update on W8.1 and still... no-go. And yes, I've disabled a few apps and even tinkered with Active X, still no go

Anyway I just use Firefox to listen to the live streams at Giants.com. Being that this it the only major issue I'm experiencing thus far, I'll keep 11 installed instead of reverting back to 10, which does work with the site.

Thanks for the tip though :)

    Hi there
amazing - IE11 works fine on W7 even with Silverlight -- but probs on W 8.1 - just try on the soon to be released to the public Windows 8.1 (Oct 15 or so) and you will see Silverlight appears not compatible or some multi media programs won't work such as SKY GO. You'll get message "Please upgrade to latest version of Silverlight" even though you've installed it. (W 8.1).

Works fine on W7 so looks like even within the SAME team in Ms (IE 11) they can't get the SAME PRODUCT working properly !!!!.

On W7 no issues yet -- although some sites might need "Enhanced security feature" turned off --not sure why they added that "feature" -- it's more useful IMO to SERVERS or machines acting as Internet gateways.

@MOST OF PEOPLE HAVING PROBS ON W7 with IE11 (usually with media streaming services).

    1) Disable enhanced security "feature" !!
    2) set compatibility mode

(Update Silverlight too if you use services like Netflix / SKY GO etc that need it).

Remember Flash is being phased out so you will need to enable compatibility where sites make use of flash player.

Chrome browser works fine with latest version of Silverlight - even on W8.1 where all these streaming service like SKY GO work just fine -- I prefer Chrome to firefox -- much less bloat / configuration needed etc -- although I can understand people being worried maybe about a bit of "Google-opopoly" although that's another issue entirely.

    Cheers
