    @ jimbo

Hey there. Watching Live TV with Silverlight works fine on my IE 11 on my Time Warner Cable which is my ISP. You probably need to update to version 5.1.20513.0 which is what I'm using. I really don't know why Flash isn't working only on Yahoo shine, Yahoo news and yahoo videos even with the latest 11.8.800.175. Using developer tools to change the user agent string to "Mozilla Firefox" (as adding the site to compatibility list doesn't work for some reason) works flawlessly though, but this only happens on my only PC laptop and I don't have any other Windows 7 PC to test

If it only fails to work on Yahoo, then it's not IE related - the website just can't figure out which browser you're using I guess.

Installed IE10 after making my weekly images. If all goes well, may go with IE11 after

I don't know why you stayed with 9 so long

And to me, 11 blows 10 away speed wise. But... it's (11) is still in Preview Mode so...

    Hi there
On SKY GO / NETFLIX you get the message "Silverlight must be updated to the latest version". When you try the download you get a message "Latest version is already installed".

Same thing happens even if you completely uninstall NETFLIX, SKY GO, and Silverlight, clear all cookies and caches and re-install.

I suppose it depends on what part of Silverlight the relevant applications are using.

Reverting back to IE10 on W7 -- everything worked fine again even in a Virtual Machine. (VMware VM's have had decent Video now for a number of releases !!).

    Cheers

    Hi there
I've tried again -- doesn't work on my system !!!! NETFLIX might have some area licensing issues shouldn't though - I've paid a valid subscription.

CHROME browser does work though strangely enough - both applications !!

I'll re-install IE11 (seems a better browser and just use CHROME for watching SKY SPORTS etc - Man utd vs Man City today).

This is definitely on a WINDOWS 7 Laptop (there are other issues with Windows 8.1 but those are known). It's an HP Envy laptop.

    Cheers

When I've just tried running SkyGo it said that silverlight wasn't compatible with IE11's protected mode and asked to switch it of, when it did skygo worked fine.
