    I can see some one inventing a little metal case for your credit cards so they don't transmit form your pocked or purse.

    Just bang it with a hammer, job done and the card still works using the swipe and pin number thing.

    There are some retailers who use RFID chips on large item purchases, like TVs, Washers, ranges, etc. to track where they go. It's supposed to be for marketing.

    When my friend and I first heard about this, a couple of years ago, our first response was to "facepalm".

    This technology should never have been added to standard bank/credit cards.
    It should have been obvious that this would enable criminals to steal information/money.

    It is useful for "pre-charged" cards (bus fares, tollbooth payments, etc.).

    Its called a Faraday Cage....you can create one by lining your wallet with aluminium foil. There are some instructions on the net for doing that.
