    .......as I read it Romulinx, it's not a 'system security hole' as such, but one that is by invitation via User settings for UAC. User generated?

    UAC is there for a reason, not just to annoy users. IMHO it should be set at the highest level by default. An extra click now and then is much easier than spending hours reinstalling a system because of a preventable problem. Take it's functionality away at your own risk.
