New Microsoft VP consigns the PC to irrelevance

With the Nokia acquisition, Microsoft hardly sees the PC as its future. Upcoming devices will likely further distance Microsoft from its PC past.

Is the PC dead yet? No, but Microsoft-owned Nokia makes no bones about its increasing irrelevance.

I suppose if your Microsoft the view would be better than insuring someone would continue to make window phones in the future
Bribery is expensive buying a failing Nokia was cheaper in the long run,
Which is now making Android phones as well

This Elflop guy is a loser. He ran the biggest mobile company into the ground and now he is working on doing the same with Microsoft. I hope the MS board stops him in his tracks.

Based on this, I'm guessing that W9 will be a disaster too.

Once again idiots are getting media attention. I really want to see a busy office with 100s of phones and tablets doing work. Bleah!

No wonder MS is itself becoming irrelevant. MS is making Linux look a lot better.

I wouldn't expect anyone to buy a Nokia computer anyway or device for that matter

I think that Google should do a robust Linux operating system that works as well as win 7. Then we would all go google. With all these phones with android on em it's going to end the learning curve for a new OS.
