Personally, I run it at 'Always Notify'. When I'm going to be doing a lot of things like on a new install, I disconnect the internet, turn off UAC and get everything pretty well set up. Then I turn to 'Always Notify' and reconnect to the net. You only have to spend 2 days wiping and reinstalling all your programs and personal data once to realize that an extra few clicks a day are nothing. Everyone wants more secutity. Then they don't like when they get it. You don't get security without some inconvenience. I find it a small price to pay. Just MHO.

For me that setting requires me to approve the running of an everyday program such as CCleaner. Is that how it should work?

Altho I do agree with the whole few extra clicks being asmall price to pay for increased
security, I still don't see why microsoft doesn't microsoft doesn't apply what is seemingly such a simple fix :/

I wish that they would make it so we could exempt some programs that we run regularly. Please send feedback on this and maybe they will. I don't use CCleaner very often (once a month), but yes. CCleaner needs to have full rights to run properly and that means a prompt whenever it runs.

    Hi bmb,

Does the regular aero peek work normally if this works normally and the winkey combination does not then I would suggest that something (a program) has reset this combination for it's own use. If the aero peek does not work at all check that this is enabled (right click on the button) and also check that everything is checked in the advanced system settings for performance
