    Brilliant riposte Greg!

When is an unsubscribe not an unsubscribe? - when Kari does it! Or doesn't do it? Now I am confused, especially since I also said that I was done with this.

Well, now I am. Officially, no returns, gone, done, exit Stage Right ...

Bertison, please use your right to report me and my posts to forum admins. I think you have a strong case against me, it should be enough if you tell in your report that I refuse to unsubscribe a thread and continue correcting false information which must be against the rules.

You showed your double standards by coming back yourself, after telling you will not do that.

    LOL.

It might be hard to get hold of Windows 7 these days, but that hasn’t stopped the OS packing on growth.

It seems no matter what Microsoft does with Windows 8.x, it can’t persuade users to switch to it.

Normal service is resumed as Windows 7's growth once again comfortably outpaces Windows 8.x
The girl upfront in the link, wearing the "7" shirt is cute. Just sayin`

    Hi......

......I am going to say that I quite disagree with the following quote. My posting it makes it invalid by the merits of this post
Nobody cares what the personal peccadilos(sic) of andrew or Kari are.
I haven't interpreted these 'personal peccadillos' as such. They seem to me to be spirited disagreement.

Thanks to the contributing input of both I now have a much better idea of the win 8/8.1 OS than I did when I started reading this thread 30 mins. ago.

I think that Kari is correct in stating that his goal is to try and prevent confusing disinformation about win8/8.1. Thank you for a rather refreshing outlook.

I also, on the other hand, believe that andrew is also correct in pointing out some of the shortcomings that win8/8.1 present to the casual pc user. Thank you for your pragmatic approach.

Just to set the record straight: I am using XP at the moment, while performing a pc build in order to capably(I hope) get along with a newer version of windows(for sure win7, but I am now open to win8/8.1) in this, the 21st Century. I have also received some excellent help from members in this forum, concerning said build, and I am understandably extremely appreciative of their help and input. I'm still at it(taking me longer than I thought).

This, thread has enabled me to look at win8/8.1 in a new light. It may just not be the hideous demon that some make it out to be..

Since I am not a fan of touchscreen devices my tendency is to stick with my decision to install win7 on my new system. However, if win8/8.1 can perform nearly as nicely as win7 is touted, then perhaps my preferences will be adjusted.

I am still on the fence, but I will say that this thread has been educational. at least for me.

Great post Lady F. That is one that I am going to use on another forum I frequent

Win 8 is about getting users into online subscription services. That is what the metro stuff is for. Boiling frogs.
