Microsoft fights back, calls out China on its Windows 8 claims

    Posted: 06 Jun 2014
Microsoft has taken to its Weibo account to combat China’s claims and posted the image that you see at the top of this post. The five points are translated and broken down below and you can see the full image here:
Microsoft has never assisted any government in an attack of another government or clients.
Microsoft has never provided any government the authority to directly visit our products or services.
Microsoft has never provided any so-called "Backdoor" into its products or services.
Microsoft has never provided the data or info of our clients to the U.S. Govt. or National Security Agency.
Microsoft has never concealed any requests from any government for information about its clients.

These claims attack all of the key points China has made about Windows 8 and Microsoft’s alleged cooperation with the US government.

Interesting. This could be true: "Microsoft has never provided the data or info of our clients to the U.S. Govt. or National Security Agency."

But only if the government has not ordered MS to provide such information.

I think the wording is quite clear. They do not say "Microsoft has never provide the data without government asking for it", they simply say they have never provided it, voluntary or when asked.

Just wait until the Government starts paying them for the info (instead of demanding it for free).

    Microsoft Windows 8 Sucks!

Hi everyone I have been away from this forum for a year or so.

    Hope everyone is going well?

Microsoft has really dropped the ball clearly with this new OS called Windows 8 and all these .1 and soon .2 ugrades.

Windows Vista = Windows 8 and its just plain crap garbage from the ground up, this windows 8 OS was a tool to kill the desktop and don't let anyone fool you that what this project was all about to kill off the desktop and get everyone on the touch crap tablet type of moving into the future.

Stick to windows XP pro or Windows 7 everyone until windows 9 rolls out in 2015 around March or April.

PS: get at least 2 high end AV's and pull the lan or shut down your modems always at night if you are running or going to use XP Pro, you will be fine and safe if you do what I suggest for a couple of years using the expired windows XP Pro just kill the connection when not in use. Windows 7 will be around for another 10 plus years its not going anywhere and don't go by the MS Life and support data that all BS and it can be changed and has been changed and will be changed .

    Regards,

sorry but xp is dead. vista post sp1 is fine if you know what you are doing. 7 is great, no denying that. 8.1.1 if you set it up right you can hardly tell it from 7, and it's a lot faster than 7.

I dis-agree with you that windows xp is dead matter of fact win xp is still powering the majority of enterprise terminals today yes in these time all around the world and matter of fact windows xp is in the top 3 operating systems and xp is leading still windows 8 and all its .1 upgrades windows xp is going to be around for another 15 to 20 years plus billion dollar IT operators will not be upgrading anytime soon or in the future.
