I forgot Win 8 when it first came out and decided to stick with Win 7 for the rig I was planning on building at the time (now my current rig).

Well lets hope Windows 9 is as much of a success and an upgrade to Windows 7.

    A flop-tock and not a flop-flop cycle?

I think you may be right on that one...

If you take a look at the past you will see that almost every other Microsoft OS is a flop. I mean, look at the earlier Windows versions, Win ME was a flop, well, 2K wasn't and XP was great, then came Vista and everyone hated it. Then came seven and everyone loves it. A few years later 8 is released and everyone hated that too. If this "pattern" continues Windows 9 may likely be a success.

Seems like they'll do it every time when they release a newer OS.
