Huge Jump In W8.1 Market Share, XP in Free Fall

There was a huge surge in W8.1's market share last month (~4.3%).
It looks like MS has managed to outlast the XP holdouts.

Good. Many people still do not know xp is no longer supported. I try to keep spreading the word on that.

Also, in Korea, some government websites are still recommending Windows XP Service Pack 3.

Hi there --In N.Korea I doubt whether they've EVEN HEARD of Windows at all yet !!! (any type whether Glass ones or Computer systems!!!). Of Course S.Korea is hugely different though !!! - with one of the best educational systems in the world I'm surprised that XP is still being recommended -- but Govt I.T services (world wide) don't enjoy the best reputation either in execution or value for money !!!.

I'd tend to SKIP W8.1 -- although much better than W8, and recommend going straight to W10 as this will give people from both XP and W7 a relatively seamless change to the most current OS,

Of course PRICE matters too - if the upgrade is reasonable then it will work just fine otherwise those "usual places" will see a splurge in activity again.

    Cheers

And another problem is the many people here that ignore copyright and get illegal copies of software or OSes. Even many big businesses and schools use fake copies of Windows. If only people in Korea cared more about copyright and would stop doing piracy. Those people I always dislike because they never seem to listen despite all the warnings given.
