And this is only after 8 years of people struggling with it to the point of exasperation ? ?
I'd still like to see your sources...

Symantec Norton Internet Security 2009 Security Software

The strong Norton security suite costs a little more, but it's easy to use and good at blocking malicious software.

And when was the last time you used it.It now uses hardly any resources at all. Certainly less than Kaspersky or McAfee.
Cant compare with Nod32 cos i have never used it.

Can we please be careful here? We had similar discussions about Norton over at Vista Forums last year, some of which got quite heated. I wouldn't like to see the same being repeated over here.

I am with the once bitten twice shy crowd when it comes to anything Symantec . When i was a noob i installed Norton Systemworks 2002.
Unfortunately i had no idea how to reinstall an operating system and had to pay to get it done .
Salesmen have always liked to steer people away from free AV's and onto Norton with words like "you only get what you pay for " . They don't mention the massive profit margin or kickback every time the victim renews their subscription .

May they rot in hell : )
