Just a thought that so far nobody as far as I know has mentioned.
Downloading ISO of W-10 for legal user and then throwing a Billion or so counterfeiters in the mix will that not cause a bunch of problem.

Has Microsoft added enough servers and bandwidth so this will go smoothly for legal users.
In my opinion this will make a huge internet bottle neck.
ISP's around the world specially in China, India, Eastern Europe will be screaming.

They can stager it my region and time zone. There is talk of using bit torrent to do it too. I'm sure there will be a download manager in there some where. It's not like they haven't been down this type of road before.

I don't remember billions getting ISO Windows installs. Most installs came loaded on store bought computer or like me a Microsoft DVD.

I understand that Windows Update come by time zones and the like but counterfeit system couldn't get them to my knowledge. Now you through a billion or so counterfeit (non genuine) in the mix should be interesting.

That is a billion and billions of ISO extra downloads. To me that is a lot of extra downloads.

When you put legal people downloading ISO and counterfeit people downloading the same ISO to me would cause a traffic jam.

Yes, but they have done ISO downloads for the Windows 10 previews, and they did it before with Windows 8 preview releases. Maybe not as many people as will be looking for 10 when it goes final but they have done mass downloads before. All I'm saying is this won't be the first time they've had to deal with large numbers of people all trying to download the same thing at once. This last update to Windows 10 was online download only, no ISO, not yet anyway. They did that on purpose to test out how the online upgrade will work.

You could be right alphanumeric. It might go smoothly. I guess we will just have to wait.

Time will tell, some may have to wait a bit. I'm sure there will be more than one source, in more than one country. Not everybody will be downloading the same language etc. That will split it up some. I'm sure there will still be some complaints and maybe a few fails or lost connections. A lot of it depends on where you live, how good and fast your internet connection is etc. Lots of variables.
