We do get a free dinner at Applebee's 11/10 and Golden Corral on 11/16. I know, it's not the same but a couple of free dinners may be nice.

Another Vietnam-Era veteran.

I get a feeling not everyone doing that is a student. There may be a .edu address somewhere in the household - maybe they just know a student - who can say.

It should be free for the vets. That would be great PR for MS too.

I agree 100% to give our Vets a free version. For what they sacraficed and lost, yes, I did say lost, that's the least the MS could do. However, if they were to do that, then all the others will come out of the woordwork. Retired LEO people, FF union, National Gaurd. I think it would endless, and this is so sad to say. In my opinion any veteran should be allowed so many benefits from this country they should never have to worry for the rest of there lives. Free Drivers license, tags, no tax on purchases, etc.

God bless them, and the one's we lost.

yea I got it for 29.99 last week. because I am undergrad at A.S.U.

I agree with the aggrevation that vet windows users that migrated to Vista have. They should get the same deal or a better deal than 100 bucks.

I was cussing and mad as hell because I bought my new comp when Vista was released hoping it would be better than XP and then was very disappointed.

There have been hundreds of thousands of loyal windows users that just took Microsoft at face value when they taunted Vista as the NEW BEST OS and upgraded or bought it, And they need to pay less than 100 for the upgrade.

Don't hate me because I got my Home Premium for 29.99, I feel you anguish. I was right there with you before I found I could use my college email at .edu and get it this cheap.

I agree with so many vista users that they got ripped on this one.

I might add that I am happy with 7. I think Microsoft finally did what PC users wanted. The stability of XP and the features of Vista.
