Now if we can have an option to show or not to show icons instead of the option to show desktop items that would be nice.
As it is currently if you uncheck show desktop items your gadgets dissapper also along with your icons.
Should be an option for icons only
That's what the feedback button is for :)

Yeeehaw !!!!!! Awesome.. Isn't it amazing how some of us can be excited over such a trivial thing? But important to me though.
I am sure we all have our annoyances but to others seem insignificant.
Good ole freedom of speech huh?:)

Simply because if you choose a particular nice desktop background ....... kinda hard to enjoy it if you have to look at it thru all your desktop icons.
That is what a desktop toolbar is used for.

I just finished the install and I'm running 7022 now...

    A few things I noticed:

    -- Its faster!!!

Control Panel has updated the sorting method....There is no "Show all control panel items" anymore, just a View by->Category, Small Icons, Large Icons

UAC doesn't ask for restart anymore when you turn it to the last level (off)

Gadgets work with UAC off by default, no tweaking needed.

The coloring of many windows such as Windows Update, Personalization, Computer properties etc has slightly changed

Action center has a few visual (for now) updates, including some activity to the taskbar icon

A Desktop Gadget Gallery icon has been added to the All programs start menu. It just opens the gadgets normal window.

Homegroup and Network windows have visual improvements.

That's it... Sorry if in my excitement I didn't read previous posts where all these could have been mentioned already...

Off to find more new thingies...
