Windows 7 home has Dvd function built into windows media player. Windows 10 does not. There is a reason why but I don't think I allowed to say here but you can find out the reason on the web.

Windows 10 upgrade is and will be delivered through the Windows Update as an ESD file (Electronic Software Distribution and / or Electronic Software Delivery). See the tutorial at our sister site the Ten Forums for how to create an ISO image from the .esd file for clean installs: ESD to ISO - Create Bootable ISO from Windows 10 ESD File - Windows 10 Forums
I might be misunderstanding Kari. No offense meant Kari, but from what I am interpreting it sounds like Kari said the upgrade is only going to be available via windows updates. However, that site I quoted earlier said there would be an iso available.
The upgrade, if you accept the upgrade offer from the Microsoft, it will be given to you through Windows Update. Of course there will be ISO and DVD media also available, I was just telling how the upgrade is delivered to you if you let Windows Update upgrade your existing Windows 7 or 8 to 10.
My point is that it is really easy to grab the ESD file and then create your own ISO letting Windows Update to upgrade your machine, at the same time creating your own ISO for future installations without a need to download ISO separately.
Notables from Specifications and Requirements: Windows 10 Specifications - Microsoft
Feature deprecation section
- If you have Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows 8 Pro with Media Center, or Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center and you install Windows 10, Windows Media Center will be removed.
- Watching DVDs requires separate playback software
- Windows 7 desktop gadgets will be removed as part of installing Windows 10.
- Windows 10 Home users will have updates from Windows Update automatically available. Windows 10 Pro and Windows 10 Enterprise users will have the ability to defer updates.
- Solitaire, Minesweeper, and Hearts Games that come pre-installed on Windows 7 will be removed as part of installing the Windows 10 upgrade. Microsoft has released our version of Solitaire and Minesweeper called the “Microsoft Solitaire Collection” and “Microsoft Minesweeper.”
- If you have a USB floppy drive, you will need to download the latest driver from Windows Update or from the manufacturer's website.
- If you have Windows Live Essentials installed on your system, the OneDrive application is removed and replaced with the inbox version of OneDrive.
And to me the first option is a deal breaker on at least 3 of my PC's that are hooked up to dumb TV's and Media Center runs the TV tuners. I know there are other options but they just work with no effort. I still have not seen a menu I like and also I hate windows 10 2 colour icons. The Amiga from 1990 had better looking icons.
