Assuming MS doesn't release an update to remove that method (just like the Start Menu in W8CP onwards).

Here is another option.
There is a program called GWX Control Panel:
Ultimate Outsider - Software Downloads
This program will remove the "Get Windows 10" icon.
Detect and remove the hidden Windows 10 installation files if they're already on your PC etc.
Here is the info about the program:

What can I say? It just WORKS. The program has been upgraded, so be sure you get the latest version.
It also works great on Windows 8, 8.1.
Cheers Mates!
The GWX Control panel works, but....for many non-guru types it may be confusing.
A simpler way to get rid of all the GWX crap, is to go to grc.com and download and run
"Never10.exe". It's like a Single Click solution to the GWX problem.

Hide "Get Windows 10" and turn off its notifications
To hide the app's icon and notifications you may ought to customise the notification space icons. Click or faucet on the tiny arrow from the left aspect of the system receptacle. this could open alittle popup with all the hidden icons. On its bottom, there's a link referred to as customise. Click or faucet it.
