I'm just really ready to finally get in on the ground floor of a new OS. So for me the sooner the better.

Aha, Lordbob. Thanks. Those eightforums people also own nineforums.com AND thenineforums.com, which both point back to eight.
Which eightforums are you talking about?

    theeightforums.com? or the other one?
    they point to eightforums.com
to add to the confusion there's also eightforum.com, which really should be called cobwebsandsoundofchirpingcrickets.com.

Well hopefully by the time windows 8 comes along I will be buying a new PC. The one I have now is an old one from XP days which has had new parts added to bring it up to speed for vista and windows 7. For Windows 8 I want a spanking new machine :)
