Since its initial rollout, Twitter has been a rather unique social network, limiting the number of characters usable in a single tweet. This feature resulted in compressed posts and as a consequence, content distributed on the platform is in a concise, and minimal form.

The longer the Tweet the longer people will be looking down at their iwhatevers and the longer it will take to respond while trying to drive or walk.
Would the character limit still apply to people that send text to & from cell phones? Wasn't this the reason for 140 limit to begin with? I think 420 would be enough but that just my opinion.

140 characters made it unique though. I wouldn't mind it going up to maybe 180 characters but anymore makes Twitter lose its charm. And I read something about a Like button? I think Retweets and Favorites make up for no Like button.
