Win10 Does Not Violate Your Privacy

    Posted: 28 Sep 2015
For the past two months, I’ve been on a lonely crusade, proving again and again that the so-called privacy issues in Windows 10 are nothing more than over-wrought complaints from ill-wishers and the tin-hat crowd. Today, Microsoft finally took up its own defense. And as you might expect, it says that Windows 10 does not violate your privacy.
“From the very beginning, we designed Windows 10 with two straightforward privacy principles in mind,” Microsoft’s Terry Myerson writes in a post to Blogging Windows. “Windows 10 collects information so the product will work better for you. And you are in control with the ability to determine what information is collected.”
That should have been obvious to anyone except those who have an ax to grind—my theory is that Windows 10 is so good, making up and exaggerating privacy issues was their only recourse. But Microsoft has also posted two separate sites, one for consumers and one for businesses, that go into greater detail.

I had too many years of experience dealing with contracts - the contract is the contract and the contract states Microsoft can do these "alledged" things. Having a person say "Oh but we would never do that" or "But we only do this or that" holds no water - don't ask how I know 'cause I'll give you an earfull.

All one has to really do is read this,
    default.aspx
Make of it what you like

Personally I have no need for any of the built in apps or ever using a ms account.
I have no axe to grind I just simply do not like 10.

Excellent. IMO, anyone agreeing to all that must be nuts (but more likely, only ignorant about what's happening + in total darkness of it's future implications).

Whatever. It's my darned computer and I am the one who should be able to determine what will go on it or be taken off of it. I sure as heck no longer trust MSpy to have a say in it.

If you don't want to be tracked, your only option is don't connect to the internet, clearing cookies is a huge placebo as browser fingerprinting is much better for the tracker.

I might not be able to stop all tracking and harvesting of personal information but that doesn't mean I have to willing invite it with open arms. At some point one has to say, "HELL no!" and, for me, that is post Win 7.
