If MSFU allows pirated copies to upgrade, this can only mean that they are willing to sacrifice for the big $payload. To put it differently, they want everyone on 10--to strip user's rights, spy , and perhaps use targeted advertising 24/7. Ugh--just disable auto upgrade please.

To be clear, these users are claiming all they did was run the “Get Windows 10” app. They are not running cracks after the upgrade (although some are perfectly happy to take that route instead). This would imply that whatever crack these pirates used to trick Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 into becoming activated worked well enough that Microsoft’s own checks didn’t catch it, and gave the green light to get Windows 10 for free.
Yet, how many messages did I get from MS telling me that my Windows 7 Operating Systems were not legal? They were, of course, but it took a while for MS to stop it. Haven't seen anything about that in a year or two.

Just like the Washington, rewarding illegal behaviour, while torturing working businesses.

That is called Windows Loader, emulates OEM activations, which even pass the WGA validation, of course, this systems DO GET activated after an upgrade to Windows 10.

Poor pirates, they don't know what they are doing...

Yepperz, I saw it again also. How many times is this they've tried to slip a 10 updater past us? At least they give a explanation of the update...for now at least.

I wonder how long it's going to be before they just don't give an explanation or label it something misleading to get it into peoples OS's?

Borg, I'm sure they thought of that and will dump it on us when we least expect it.

Yesterday Microsoft tried to slip KB3035583 into both my computers AGAIN.
We just have to be watchful.
I believe the next thing Microsoft will do is give the KB a different number and then see if they can slip the new one in.
