I didn't want to have to do this but i don't see any other option at this point , i officially challenge MS to a brawl to the death using prehistoric weaponry . One of us has to die , i realize that now .

    Will wait for response
A trebuchet with a nuclear warhead in the sling?
Please no. I live within the fall out radius of Redmond.

I just know this thread is going to disintegrate into total lunacy, so I pledge to supply the popcorn, peanuts and marshmallows on sticks. @jonnyhillow Let us know if they respond. I have potassium iodide tablets becasue I live near a nuclear reactor, so I will share them around too (just in case you take up LadyFitz's suggestion). She must be French.

...Unfortunately KB3035583 which has a hefty 'drive-by' payload has gone from blocked spam (a hidden optional update) to the inbox (important update)....
It is still optional for me if I keep the setting shown in this post unchecked:

Very good call on your part , i second the nuclear option , best to blow the crap out of everything so there's no chance of survival .

Total lunacy ? I don't think so , not on our part , total lunacy is what MS is doing with this update from hell , now thats total lunacy . Did you read post # 54 above , the dang thing came back after being hidden , this is worthy of a nuclear confrontation imo .

You cannot hide an update - you can only hide each version of an update.

The version of the update that you hid did not unhide itself. A new version was offered.

I realize that the end result is the same... but it might be worth knowing what really happened.

FRENCH? French?! Wash out your mouth with yellow soap!

Btw, I'm only about 70 miles from the U.S.' largest nuke plant.

I wish it was Debian based. I tried Mint, Debian 7 etc. in VMs but I can't find the Glass I had on Vista and Windows 7. Maybe I will try Zorin on a VM. When I can get a desktop machine set up again I'm going to put W7 Pro on and wait until the retro styling shock wears off. :)
"Glass" as in the Aero Glass theme? If so, do some searching. For example, with Mint there are numerous aero/glass themes available.

    Hey GEWB,

Which are you using? Mate or Cinnamon?
