Having issues and not having the time to upgrade was not a factor in my decision to go back to 7 , Win 10 worked just fine for me .
What i hated was the entire Win 10 experience , the windows store was one of the things that i disliked most , just way way too much crap integrated into Win 10 that i have zero interest in .
Most of it is a nightmare to try to remove or can't be removed without effecting the whole OS negatively.
I looked for (kb 3035583) but can't find it anywhere , what update is responsible for the screenshot get win 10 stuff?
See my replies on the last page of this thread:

Yeah, that 3083710 is not installed so that can't be it . OK , i see it now , it's not installed though.
Here are some of what i have installed.
I guess i just have to hide most of these
Unless you want to upgrade to 10 yes win-10's update need to be on Hide
Obviously you missed some win-10 preparation updates from being installed otherwise the 10 update would not be there.
Just install VMware Player in your chosen Linux Distro.
Once that is done you can run any version of Windows you want, as a VM.
Unless you need to run modern games or you are using a program that has some special needs, you shouldn't have any problems.
I have an XP VM with my old games installed in it.
I can play them when I'm using LM17.2 or W7.
I also have DOSBox installed in the XP VM, so I can play even older games (like Doom II).
